Penny–Adopted

Penny is a 2 year 7 month mini Holland Lop. She weighs 4.6 lbs. and she has not been spayed yet. Penny has been raised with 2 non-aggressive dogs with whom she gets along well with. Penny roams freely in her environment which includes a 15 x 20’ space with rubber floor matting & carpet. Her cage remains open at all times for her to go in and out of for eating and pottying. She is litter trained.  Penny doesn’t mind being held if holder is sitting on the floor. She loves the top of her nose rubbed, as well as, behind her ears.  Penny is calm with a sweet disposition. She knows her name and will most often come when called. (Or could it be that she’s hoping for a treat? 😊) Penny enjoys nosing an 8” ball around for playtime. She listens to music or the tv. She likes stretching out on the floor with her hind legs fully extended…a sign of sheer contentment.

Penny’s diet consists of Timothy western hay and pellets. She loves blueberries, grapes, and bananas. She also enjoys parsley, carrots, and romaine lettuce.
Penny recently had an unfortunate mishap. A visiting lab puppy scared Penny by picking her up with with his mouth. No physical damage was done, but she has been pretty skittish since that incident.  We hope to find in a loving environment where she is free to roam with human caretakers who will take good care of her.  If you are interested in adopting Penny, please contact the Missouri House Rabbit Society in Kansas City.
