Blacky & Tickles – ADOPTED
Blacky and Tickles are a bonded pair of 2.5 year old dwarf bunnies (brother and sister) who are neutered/spayed and needing a wonderful, loving home. They came from a domestic violence situation, and are still sensitive to quick movements and loud noises. They were surrendered to MOHRS in Dec. 2019. Because they have been traumatized, it will take a little patience to allow them to feel secure in a new environment (our foster home mentioned this). They are OK with cats. They are both still learning to use the litter box. Blacky, the boy, is more outgoing than Tickles, and he is protective of his sister and will try to herd her away from any perceived “threat”. Both bunnies love romaine lettuce, carrots, and apples, but tend to ignore other veggies. They also LOVE third cutting Timothy hay and eat a lot of it. Tickles still is afraid to have anyone touch her, but is the first to come out to eat. Blacky will sit on your legs sometimes, but also is afraid of being touched. These bunnies have been through a lot and we’d love to find them the perfect forever home where they never have to worry about someone hurting them again. If you would like to adopt this pair, please contact the Missouri House Rabbit Society in Kansas City.
