Benji–adopted

Benji was found in May 2021 near a school, after being dumped by whoever probably purchased him as a Easter bunny for their child.  Thankfully for Benji, one of the teachers at the school knew how to care for rabbits and scooped him up and took him home.  She made a vet appointment for him immediately because he was terribly emaciated.  When he was first rescued after being dumped to fend for himself outside (a death sentence for any domestic rabbit), he weighed 2.9 lbs.  He is now up to 4 lbs and we hope will soon add a little more weight, and no other health issues were detected. Benji is a very adventurous little guy. He is comfortable around dogs (and even likes to make friends with them), and is nearly litter trained. Benji is curious about everything, and loves to explore.  He will hop up on your lap as long as he thinks you won’t try to cuddle him and hold him.  He is also an escape artist, and very agile at climbing.  He loves his fresh veggies, hay, and pellets. He is also a very friendly little guy with humans.  He will be neutered prior to adoption.  If you’d like to adopt Benji, please contact the Missouri House Rabbit Society in Kansas City.
