S’mores

S’mores is a young female rabbit.  She was found running loose in a neighborhood in October and she is estimated to be about a year old (possibly two).  She loves hay, veggies, and delicious fruit treats. She can sniff out apples and other treats from a distance, so make certain all treats are safely secured. She is very active and can jump up onto furniture. She can be a bit mischievous, so her area will need to be bunny proofed. She sometimes acts very independent, but if you pet/rub around her ears, she melts to the ground or in your arms if you are holding her. She’s a softy once she knows she can trust you. S’mores has done well with children, cats, and dogs that are respectful of rabbits. She enjoys chewing cardboard and playing with other toys too.  She gets the zoomies and binkies when she is allowed to run, so she would adore a bunny proofed space to get her energy out. Her litterbox skills are reasonably good; to set her up for success, her litter area should be kept reasonably clean with hay and she should start in a small space or an area with multiple litter boxes. She is very sweet and may do well with a compatible rabbit companion or as a single rabbit.  She will be spayed prior to adoption.  If you would like to adopt S’mores, please contact the Missouri House Rabbit Society in Kansas City.
