Fiona is a spayed two and a half year old female bunny who was rescued from horrible living conditions.  Besides her enclosure being too small and dirty, she was tormented daily by a large dog.  A caring person took her into her home and worked with her to gain her trust again.  Because of her abuse, Fiona is pretty defensive to other animals she meets.  She would do better in a home without any other pets.  She is very independent but would probably like to have a bun friend to receive love from.  She is slow to warm up to you but once she trusts you she loves nose/head rubs, although her ears are very sensitive.  She is very sweet and will let you pet her for as along as you’re willing!  During the day she will sleep right by your feet.  She likes to let you know she’s near and to say “hello” by booping you with her nose repeatedly.  She loves to eat her hay from on top of a box and sleeping on top of her hidey house.  Her favorite foods are dandelion herb mix, romaine lettuce, timothy hay and is always excited to get a raisin or a cranberry every night right before bed!  She loves being near where the people are and occasionally will explore the house, but stays fairly close to her home base.  If you would like to adopt Fiona, please contact the House Rabbit Society in Kansas City.
